This week, we spoke to Sorapong, a relatively new contributor to Signelements who has produced some really great work. We asked what his motivations were, where he got his inspiration from and his thoughts on the stock photo industry. See Sorapong’s full portfolio here.
1- Can you tell us a little about your background and how you got into stock photography?
I am passionate about photography and of course everyone wants to improve their skills. Already I gained a lot of knowledge from the internet. As well as generating revenue from selling images when we know that there are channels that can make money. I do not hesitate to try doing it. It is wonderful. For working in fields that we are passionate about.
2 – Could you please tell us about your working process?
I value the light. The light used is natural light by choosing the right time. I use easy and economical accessories such as a curtain for softening, a foam sheet for opening in the shadows, paying attention to the overall tone of the image. Everything must be consistent. Harmonious colors are important for the work I do.
3 – Where do you get your inspiration from?
I love to collect my story by photo. Then it’s not only a memory but also has worth, and it becomes my career which makes me very happy in everyday life. I love to challenge myself to improve my work all the times.
4 – Where do you see the future of stock photography going?
As long as people could see, Image is the best efficiency communication at the first sight. The customers desire for the fresh, diverse and high quality work . We just improve our work which is a higher quality than customer expectation.
5 – How do you find working with us?
I’m from Thailand, we have a stock photo contributor community to share about knowledge and information. When my friend told me about you, I didn’t hesitate to join a new experience.
