Aleksandr – (Vector artist)
Aleksandr’s portfolio
Hello Aleksandr: Please can you introduce yourself and tell us a little about your background?
Hello. I have always drawn, ever since I was a child. In 2007 I started to learn to draw via the computer and have since mastered all major design programs, now I mainly draw vectors. Then I started working in an advertising agency mainly creating logos, business cards and other promotional material. I also worked for a newspaper for a while. Now I work freelance.
How would you describe your portfolio?
My portfolio is illustrations, textures, icons, infographics and blanks for the logo.
What kind of work have your images appeared in?
I have seen my images mainly used on websites, but also on tops and postcards, greeting cards and business cards too.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Out of my head, I just sit at the computer and draw. The more I draw, the more ideas I receive.
Do you use real data when creating your infographics?
For sites I use placeholder data for infographics. In the work I create directly for a client I of course work with real data.
How do you decide which subjects to draw?
It depends on my mood. But most of all I love the theme of computers and the Internet. Love to draw infographics and abstraction on these topics.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
I have a schedule, I have firm working hours. I try to structure my work load based on industries, for example, before lunch I work on Illustrations, after lunch made to order logos, and in the evening I read training materials.
What is your most popular image?
My most popular images are these two. They are metaphoric illustration compositions
